Bio Note: Late in life I've discovered, developed my own form of surrealism in my "Songs of Ephram Pratt." the first one arriving back in 2007 or so. We're now at close to a thousand & it kinda dominates my writing time. You may have seen some on the Internet. Google 'em. My more conventional poems still seem to come along from time to time. My most recent book was The Love Songs of Ephram Pratt from Uttered Chaos Press in 2019.

Ephram Pratt Retells the Myth of Minotaur

Questioning eternity,
did the Minotaur survive

and settle into
a rarified forever,

with off-spring
living into eternity?

Secrets are often kept from the gods
and who is to know

after a billion years
who lives among

the jonquil and hyacinth
lining the boulevards

of Olympus and Valhalla?
Only those gifted

with secret tongues,
spreading secrets

among the stars,
whispering into the ears

of those demanding
suffrage for the Minotaur.
